ABOUT Husky safari and our farm

Feel the speed of cheerful and strong Alaskan huskies from the racing and tourist kennel! After you’ve had a lesson in the basics of mushing your own dog team, you are ready for an adrenaline-filled safari into the beautiful arctic wilderness. The overall distance of this activity is 17-20 km in a two-person sledge: one is sitting as a passenger while the other is driving the sledge. In the middle places are switched. In the end, you can cuddle with the dogs and take pictures of your unstoppable husky team!

PLEASE NOTICE:

Online booking minimum is 2 persons. You can always contact us by email if your group is less than 2 persons or more than 8, or if you wish to book the date or time which isn’t available online, at arctic@timetravels.fi

Online booking must be made at least 24h before the departure to allow us to make the necessary arrangements.

Who is it for?

We recommend this safari for everyone from ages 15 and up for driving the sledge. Children can be taken onboard the sledge with parental supervision. The Husky Safari differs from Reindeer Safari in a way that it is not just a “ride” that you can take, but you will be driving the sled pulled by eager dogs that are semi-domesticated wild animals. This needs to be taken in consideration, especially if you would have medical issues or have challenges with balance.

HOW TO BE PREPARED?

  • Make sure you have proper warm outdoor clothing to enjoy the sledge ride. If you need to rent we’ll take you to a renting place.

Husky Safari is available almost daily, contact us for bookings in case you don’t find date or time in the booking calendar!

  • 195€ per adult

  • 155€ for a children under 12 years old

 

CANCELLATION POLICY

  • 25 EUR (per booking) cancellation service fee will be charged if cancelled earlier than 14 days before departure.

  • 7-14 days prior to the departure, 20% of the total amount is non-refundable.

  • 3-6 days prior to the departure, 50% of the total amount is non-refundable.

  • Within 72 hours, 100% of the total amount is non-refundable.
